I love dim sum. I may not be a connoisseur but I can at least say I've had a lot in my lifetime. I used to go regularly to one dim sum restaurant on Ocean Avenue; another on 7th; and whenever I'm in Chinatown, I'd make sure I bring home a full box or two.

Nowadays, though, I need not drive further than 3 minutes or 0.9 miles from St. Mary's Park since I found dim sum that, in my opinion, is even better than the ones I've had in Chinatown!

Sweet Delight is a small Chinese restaurant owned by a very hospitable gentleman who never forgets a face. They have a variety of dim sum: shrimp, pork sui mai, chicken, pot stickers, beef and even have sesame balls, egg rolls, sweet rice cakes and more  for only $1.55 for any three pieces.

Sweet Delight's dim sum, in my opinion, are much more flavorful than most. They're even a little larger and are more "meaty" without the usual fillers. Two to three orders will surely fill you up; however, I have to admit I tend to overeat when a full box is sitting in front of me! For only $4.65 plus tax and tip, you'll definitely get your money's worth.  < style="font-family: tahoma;">They also have hot food in steam pans weighed by the ounce or pound for a quick pick up. You can eat at the restaurant or, if you're particular about ambience, you're better off bringing food home or enjoying it at one of the picnic tables at the St. Mary's Park Playground.

With how much I enjoy dim sum, I consider myself lucky to have quick access to great place in the neighborhood. A sweet delight indeed!
